Drone Attack in Odesa Region: Casualties and Damage
On the evening of February 28, Russian armed forces launched a drone attack on the Odesa region, with the type and number of drones currently being verified. The Odesa district was targeted. As a result of the attack, one man has died, according to the prosecutor's office.
The 41-year-old victim has been identified, and three others sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. A private house, a business, a sports facility, and both passenger and cargo vehicles were damaged.
An assessment is ongoing, and a full list of destruction and damages is being compiled. Prosecutors, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the aftermath of the armed aggression by Russia.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the war crimes that resulted in the loss of life (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by the SBU investigators in the Odesa region” – the statement reads.
