Honoring Ukraine's Heroes in Shevchenko Park

26 November 2024

Today, new informational stands honoring 144 fallen defenders and heroines of Ukraine were ceremoniously unveiled in Shevchenko Park.

In total, the Alley of Heroes now features information about 421 heroes. The efforts to perpetuate their memory continue.

“Each of these heroes represents a part of the incredible strength that has allowed Ukraine to endure and continue fighting for a free future. Their bravery is the foundation of our independence, and we must remember that. Thanks to their courage, we can live, work, and build the future of our state today,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Additionally, at the request of relatives, Christmas trees have been placed next to the Alley, which the children from the families of fallen defenders will decorate with handmade ornaments as part of the St. Nicholas Day event.
