Nighttime Assault: Fresh Strikes on Ukraine

During the night, Ukraine was once again subjected to a combined Russian assault, including over 50 rockets and approximately 500 strike drones. The attacks involved cruise missiles, «Shaheds», and specifically, «Kinzhal» missiles. Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad regions were under fire.

As of now, around 10 people are known to have been injured due to the attack, and sadly, five have lost their lives. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who have lost loved ones due to this terror.

This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his address.

He stated that rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing in the affected areas. The President is continuously receiving updates from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, and heads of regional military administrations.

«I expect prompt and effective government action to address the consequences in the affected regions», — emphasized Zelensky.

The President noted that the Russians again targeted Ukrainian infrastructure, attacking all that sustains normal life for people.
«More protection is needed, and faster implementation of all defense agreements, particularly regarding air defense, to render this aerial terror meaningless. A unilateral ceasefire in the sky is possible and could open the way to genuine diplomacy. America and Europe must act to compel Putin to stop», — underscored Volodymyr Zelensky.
