Repatriation of Fallen Heroes: New Identification Efforts
In Ukraine, 1000 bodies have been repatriated, which, according to the Russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen.
This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War via Telegram.
In the near future, law enforcement officers, in cooperation with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will carry out all necessary examinations and identifications of the repatriated bodies.
The repatriation process has been made possible through the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, and other security structures.
The Coordination Headquarters expresses gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their support.
A special thanks goes to the military personnel who are responsible for transporting the repatriated fallen heroes to designated specialized institutions and facilitating their handover to law enforcement for forensic examination.
Law enforcement officers will promptly identify the deceased in collaboration with experts.
