Drone Attacks on Ukraine: Latest Updates
On the evening of August 7th, Russian forces launched an assault on Ukraine using 104 Shahed drones, various types of imitator drones, and 8 speed (jet) drones. A total of 82 targets were neutralized, but some hits were recorded.
This information was shared by the Ukrainian Air Forces via their Telegram channel.
According to the report, as of 8:00 AM, air defense managed to destroy 82 aerial targets: 3 jet drones and 79 enemy Shahed UAVs and imitator drones across the country. There were also 26 hits recorded in 10 locations, with debris falling in 8 areas.
The attackers launched drones from directions including the Russian cities of Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air assault was repelled by aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
