Night Attack on Izmail: Impact on Gas Infrastructure

Last night, the Izmail district experienced an attack using strike drones, which caused significant damage to the gas system. Firefighters promptly extinguished the resulting fire.

Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, reported that despite the efforts of air defense forces, the gas infrastructure sustained damages during the nighttime assault. A fire broke out but was extinguished by 7:25 AM. Currently, gas is being released from the system.

"The fire destroyed production equipment. Due to damage to the main gas pipeline, 2,500 consumers are temporarily without gas. Efforts to mitigate the aftermath are ongoing. All authorized services are working on-site. Law enforcement is documenting the traces of yet another crime committed by the Russians against the peaceful population," Kiper stated.
