Strike on Key Russian Defense Infrastructure

On the night of July 5, Ukrainian forces struck a crucial facility of the Russian military-industrial complex in Cheboksary (Chuvash Republic, RF).

The facility is known as JSC «VNIIR-Progress» which manufactures adaptive antenna arrays called «Kometa».

This information was confirmed by the General Staff.

UAF Hits Important Russian Defense Facility in Cheboksary

The target was the production capacities for adaptive antenna arrays.

These arrays are utilized in «Shaheds», «Iskander-K» missiles, and various high-precision munitions regularly used by the enemy to bombard Ukraine.

According to the staff, the strike reached the designated area.

The results are being clarified.

Strike on the Borisoglebsk Airfield in Voronezh Region

That night, defense forces also attacked the Russian airfield «Borisoglebsk» in the Voronezh region.

The enemy is unable to penetrate deep into the territory but continues to shell the border areas.

«On July 5, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the defense forces, struck the airfield «Borisoglebsk» in the Voronezh region,» the message states.

This airfield houses Russian aircraft such as Su-34, Su-35S, and Su-30SM.

According to the staff, a storage facility for guided bombs, a training-combat aircraft, and possibly other planes were hit.
