Drone Strike Damages Water Utility Equipment in Odesa
A drone strike in Odesa has resulted in damage to some equipment belonging to the «Infoksvodokanal» utility.
This was reported by the «Infoksvodokanal» branch.
A Russian drone attacked the repair workshops and storage areas of the company, leading to damage to several dozen vehicles. Most of the affected vehicles belong to the repair teams, who use them not only to reach the accident sites but also to transport necessary tools for repairs. An excavator, tank trucks, and sludge pumps were also damaged. The workshops for vehicle repairs, electricians, and motor mechanics were completely destroyed along with their equipment.
The consequences could have been much worse if it weren't for the quick actions of our drivers and mechanics. They immediately began extinguishing the flames with tank trucks even before the arrival of firefighters, preventing the fire from engulfing all the equipment and evacuating the surviving transport.
Although significant damage has been done, thankfully, none of our employees were harmed. Recovery of equipment and repairs to the workshops will take some time. Following this attack, the logistics and operations of the emergency teams will be somewhat complicated.
We hope for the understanding of our customers and a swift resolution to the technical issues.
