Odessa Under Attack: Impact on Residents
Odessa has faced another drone attack, causing damage to residential buildings.
According to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out on several floors of a 21-story residential building due to the strike. People were trapped in their apartments because of severe smoke and high temperatures, complicating rescue efforts. Firefighters worked to save individuals while extinguishing the blaze.
Five people, including one child, were rescued.
Unfortunately, preliminary reports confirm the deaths of two individuals.
As of this morning, four injured persons have been reported.
Psychologists are present at the scene to provide support to those affected.
Repeated air raid alerts hinder the mitigation of the aftermath.
Odessa’s mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov, and relevant agencies promptly arrived at the disaster site.
Emergency services are addressing the consequences of the attack.
Medical assistance is being provided to the victims.
Additionally, psychological support is being offered to residents of the building.
A city operational headquarters will begin functioning in the morning, where residents of damaged apartments can receive assistance consultations.
