Muay Thai Tournament in Dnipro: Honoring Defenders

From March 6 to 9, 2025, Dnipro hosted the open Muay Thai tournament titled «Dnipro Star».

 This year, the competition was dedicated to our defenders.

160 athletes from cities like Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Berdychiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and clubs from Dnipropetrovsk region arrived to compete for medals.

The main motivation for each boxer was the chance to participate in the Ukrainian championship in April and the opportunity to join the national team.

Odesa athletes, trained at Odesa Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 7, won 14 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals.

Among the winners were: Nikita Kuts, Bohdan Studnev, Kyrylo Berezovskyi, Volodymyr Trufkaky, Yelyzaveta Velykova, Diana Savotina, Oleksandr Andriushchenko, Ivan Rasputnyi, Vladyslav Postnov, Tymur Katerynchak, Oleksandr Zabara, Mark Yushchuk, Pavlo Balabko, and Yelysei Shaienko.

Silver medals were awarded to: Dmytro Zanин, Kira Laryonova, Mykhailo Honcharuk, Ruslan Kravchenko, and Sviatoslav Shaienko.

Bronze medals went to Tymur Ostrovskyi and Myroslav Yakush.

The athletes were prepared by coaches: Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliia Shapoval, Mykhailo Mitakі, and Mykhailo Kovalchuk.

The tournament was organized by the Dnipro City Muay Thai Federation in collaboration with the 25th Separate Airborne Sicheslav Brigade.
