First Round of Volleyball Tournament in Odesa: Highlights and Results

The first round of the open volleyball tournament «Southern League» took place in Odesa, featuring girls from two age categories: those born in 2008 and 2010, as well as younger participants.

Eleven teams from Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zhytomyr competed in the tournament. The format includes four regular rounds and one final.

Among the athletes born in 2008, the Odesa team «Lantana» showcased an impressive performance, winning all matches while conceding only two sets. The team from Mykolaiv finished in second place, while the third spot went to the athletes from Kryvyi Rih.

In the category for 2010-born athletes, Odesa’s team «Dzhinistra» secured a convincing victory. The second place was taken by the team from Zhytomyr, with Mykolaiv's team coming in third.

The «Dzhinistra» squad included players specializing in beach volleyball.
