Ukrainian Taekwondo Championship: Impressive Results from Odesa

From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka (Rivne region) hosted the Ukrainian Championship and the open All-Ukrainian tournament of class A «Children of Ukraine XXV» in taekwondo (WTF).

This event served as a qualification for the European Championship, which will take place in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

A total of 140 athletes participated in the Ukrainian Championship, while 465 taekwondo competitors fought for medals in the tournament.

The athletes from Odesa excelled, bringing home 6 medals from the championship.

Champions included Renata Podolyani and Maria Labuzova from the Olympic Sports School. Bronze medals were claimed by Oleksandr Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Viktor Semanyuk, and Yulia Hamurari.

The young Odesa athletes also showcased their talent at the open All-Ukrainian tournament of class A «Children of Ukraine XXV», winning 8 medals.

The tournament champions were Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals went to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.

The athletes were trained by coaches Yulia Podolyani and Viktor Semanyuk.

In Odesa, 178 athletes are engaged in taekwondo (WTF) at KDYUSSH No. 17 and KDYUSSH No. 7.
