Judging Success at the European Cup in Brno

On October 4-5, the city of Brno in the Czech Republic hosted the traditional judo tournament - the European Cup of Hopes, featuring competitors under the age of 13 and 15.

The national team of Ukraine achieved first place overall, earning a total of 26 medals, including 6 gold.

Among the Ukrainian participants, athletes from Odesa stood out. Ivan Arsenyuk, a student of the Odesa Regional Children's and Youth Sports School specializing in judo and rugby (coach - Vladislav Bolichevsky), claimed a silver medal in the 38 kg category. In the 73 kg category, Alexander Severgin from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 4 in Odesa (coach - Oleg Spivak) secured a bronze medal.

In the specialized out-of-school education institutions of Odesa, 144 students are engaged in judo.
