A representative from Ukraine's Ministry of Youth and Sports visited the Odesa Greco-Roman Wrestling Club «GREK», which is part of a new initiative.

Earlier this year, the Odesa Regional State Administration signed a significant memorandum with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine to support sports clubs established by public organizations.

The aim of this initiative is to aid the development of the region's sports infrastructure and improve the organization of physical activities.

Participants in the meeting included:

  • Anton Shalyhaiilo - Deputy Head of Odesa Regional State Administration
  • Tetyana Semenyk - Deputy Director of the Department of Mass Sports and National Health
  • Viktor Synyavskyi - Acting Head of the Department of Physical Culture of the Regional State Administration
  • Oleksandr Hrabovan - Chairman of the «GREK» Wrestling Club

The club currently has four coaches and more than 160 athletes training in Odesa, Chornomorsk, Podilsk, and the village of Hradeanytsia.

During the visit, participants learned about the club's activities and observed training sessions.

This initiative is funded by the regional budget.

«We are committed to advancing sports in the Odesa region. This project opens up new opportunities for youth and promotes a healthy lifestyle,» stated Anton Shalyhaiilo.

The Odesa region continues to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the region's sports potential.
