Climbing Championship in Odesa
On January 25, 2025, the open climbing championship (bouldering) and the school's cup took place in Odesa.
A total of 72 athletes participated, including 40 boys and 32 girls.
Competitors came from the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve, the Dynamo Sports School, the Odesa Mountaineering Club, and the private school Krok.
In the 2010-2011 age group, the winners were Yuliia Karaban (Dynamo Sports School) and Tymur Hladkykh (Youth Sports School of Climbing), while Varvara Nimenko and Artem Mykhailov secured second place, and Kostyantyn Ivanov took third.
Among athletes born in 2012-2013, the champions were Vira Hutsol and Hryhorii Chaplia, with Melania Bodnar and Hai Sukhanov in second place, and Veronika Chernienko and Mark Barzikov in third.
In the 2014-2015 age category, gold medals went to Maria Kateryva and Yegor Fal'ko, silver to Kateryna Yatsenjuk and Yaromyr Shvydkyi, and bronze to Serafim Koroyev and Oleksandr Nedoluzhenko.
In the 2016-2017 category, Ksenia Tsirulnikova and Mykhailo Baranov took the top spots, with Daria Rembovska and David Dolhyi in second, and Anna Anfinogenova and Matviy Lypovskyi in third. All athletes are from the Youth Sports School of Climbing.
The youngest participants born in 2018-2019 competed for the CSDYUSSHOR Cup. The winners were Theona Pashaieva and Dmytro Shymkov, with Sofia Nazarova and Mykyta Shvydkyi taking silver, and Maia Shcherbina and Yan Krasnoslobodtsev winning bronze.
The athletes who won prizes were coached by: Svitlana Svitlychna, Viktor Remnev, Oleksandra Starytska, Liubov Zymova, Tetiana Pashaieva, Nataliia Kopotiienko, Oleksandr Shaparets, Olexiy Krynetskyi, Oleksandr Pavlenko, and Vira Prokopieva.
