Cross Country Championships in Victory Park

On October 19, 2024, the third stage of the national cross-country championships was held in Victory Park. The competition featured 12 age categories among boys, girls, juniors, and youth across distances of 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8 km.

More than 60 qualified athletes from different regions of Ukraine, including participants from Odessa, took part in the event.

In the 1 km distance, the best times were recorded by Odessa's Yelyzaveta Sheremeta (4:29) and Andriy Zasnov (4:55).

For the 3 km distance, the fastest were Ksenia Danyliuk (19:54) and Vyacheslav Balashov (14:00).

Vladimir Peresunko achieved the best result in the 4 km distance - 29:48.

In the 6 km event, Hanna Hilyanchuk finished in 2nd place, losing to an athlete from Chernihiv region, while Roman Stoyanov secured 1st place in the 8 km run with a time of 30:19.

After four stages and the finals of the national championships, the composition of the national team of Ukraine will be determined for participation in the European championship, scheduled for December 8 in Turkey.

The event was organized by the Ukrainian Athletics Federation in collaboration with the public organization SEASIDE RUNNERS ODS, with the support of the Odessa City Council.
