Ukraine's Artistic Swimming Team Faces New Challenges at Euro-2025

The Ukrainian artistic swimming team has once again showcased their skills at Euro-2025, held in Funchal, Portugal. This time, the girls performed in a duet in the free program.

Ukraine's team consisted of 10 talented swimmers. They had already demonstrated their abilities in the technical program, where the duet of Daria Moshynska and Anastasia Shmonina secured the sixth place.

How did their performance in the free program go?

• Moshynska and Shmonina started the final in the free program from the ninth position. For artistry, our team received 116.50 points, only behind the Spanish duo that won silver. They scored 103.7899 points for execution.
• As a result, the Ukrainians totaled 220.2899 points, placing them in second position temporarily.
• Although five more duets followed them, they couldn't maintain their podium position. Ultimately, the Ukrainian duet finished in fifth place, trailing the podium by nearly 17 points.
• The European champions in the free duet program were the Italians, who surpassed the Spaniards by just 2.3 points.

The next event for the Ukrainian swimmers is the team competition in the technical program, scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, at 18:00. In addition to Ukraine, seven other teams will compete in the final.
