Odessa shines again — gold for Herman Basarab!

The international U17 cadet tournament «Constantin Alexandru & Ioan V. Popovici» has concluded in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together over 400 young wrestlers from 18 countries.

The competition featured three styles of wrestling: Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s.

Herman Basarab, a representative from Odessa and a student of the Greek sports club (Odessa Wrestling Federation), secured a gold medal in the 48 kg weight category!

His confident victory is a result of hard work, dedication to the sport, and

the professionalism of his coaches. Herman not only represented Odessa with honor but also

made a significant contribution to the overall success of the Ukrainian team.
