The city of Frýdek-Místek in the Czech Republic hosted a significant international Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament with over 300 participants from 12 European countries.
Representing Ukraine at this prestigious event was military serviceman Denis Tkachuk from the Odesa Border Guard Unit, who was part of the National Team of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Over three days, competitors showcased their martial arts skills, endurance, tactical thinking, reaction time, and self-defense techniques.
Denis Tkachuk competed at the level of the best European athletes, confirming his high technical and physical preparedness, resilience, and fighting spirit, earning well-deserved podium finishes:
- 2nd place in the «Full Contact» category
- 3rd place in the «Close Contact» category.
The Ukrainian team also exhibited high performance, securing first place in the team standings. “A notable aspect of this championship was the complete absence of representatives from the aggressor country, which fostered a constructive and friendly atmosphere focused on fair competition, mutual respect, and European sports values,” the report stated.
