New Investments in School Safety in Ukraine
During the meeting on April 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to allocate 830 million UAH for improving safety in general secondary education institutions.
This was announced by government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, via his Telegram channel.
"These funds will continue the work on improving shelters and ensuring safe conditions for education. Funding will be received by 15 communities as well as the budgets of Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Khmelnytskyi regions," - wrote Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram post.
He emphasized that in the past two years, the government has allocated a record 14 billion UAH for shelters in schools.

In 2024, Kyiv allocated 2.4 billion UAH for improving shelters, enhancing fire safety in schools, preparing them for winter, and creating educational centers for the subject "Defense of Ukraine".
