Chernivtsi: Olympiads for Young Talents
From March 24 to 28, Chernivtsi hosted the best young linguists and philologists of Ukraine during the IV stage of the National Olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature for students of grades 8-11.
In a challenging intellectual competition among 136 participants from 24 regions of Ukraine, victory in the olympiad went to Didyk Anastasia, an 11th-grade student of Odesa Lyceum No. 38 (teacher Maksutina Olena).
Anastasia showcased not only her extensive knowledge but also her creative thinking, analytical skills, and deep love for the Ukrainian language.
From March 31 to April 4, Chernivtsi also hosted the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Geography, with around 150 participants from all regions of Ukraine. The competition took place in two rounds: theoretical and practical.
The awardees included:
- Sulima Kateryna, a 9th-grade student of Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Shulevskyi Serhiy);
- Pastoshchuk Artem, an 11th-grade student of Odesa Lyceum No. 9 (teacher Yastremska Svitlana).
Huiyan Ksenia, a 10th-grade student of Odesa Lyceum "Marijinsky," received a participant diploma and invaluable experience for future success.
Artem Pastoshchuk also received a special award for the best presentation on the topic "The Phenomenon of Urban Heat Islands."
Additionally, the winners of the IV stage of the National Student Olympiad in Biology were announced, with over 170 students from grades 8-11 participating from all regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. The closing ceremony took place in Lviv region.
Second-degree diploma was awarded to Vidova Anna, an 8th-grade student of Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Ignatieva Liudmyla).
