Conclusion of the Anti-Violence Campaign in Odesa
The all-Ukrainian campaign "16 Days Against Violence" has wrapped up in Odesa, taking place annually from November 25 to December 10.
The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about domestic violence and gender-based violence, featuring a series of thematic events in the city.
Active participation came from local government departments, city council members, the National Police, students from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, and youth council members.
The official launch of the campaign took place on November 25 in the City Garden under the slogan "Music Against Violence".
Musical performances and poetry readings by students from the Odesa National Music Academy highlighted the event, alongside a children's drawing exhibition hosted by the charity organization "Family".
Representatives from the charity fund "Path Home" distributed flowers to women and girls as a symbol of resistance against violence.
Educational workshops, interactive games, and training sessions were organized for high school students to foster understanding of violence issues.
The Children's Service of the Odesa City Council organized informational and educational activities, flash mobs, theatrical games, and discussions.
Additionally, district administrations collaborated with the Social Services Center to host thematic events in public squares and parks, addressing domestic violence issues.
City events also included activities for international days against violence, slavery, and human rights.
The Department of Labor and Social Policy conducted anonymous surveys to assess public awareness of domestic violence.
