Warm Waves: Teacher's Day Charity Event in Odesa

In Odesa, a charity initiative named «Warm Waves» took place ahead of Teacher's Day, bringing together educators, students, and parents to support noble causes.

Students, along with their teachers, set up fairs where they sold handmade goods crafted with care by their families.

The atmosphere in schools was incredibly warm and heartfelt. The fairs raised a total of 2,156,360.42 UAH.

«I am grateful to the educators of Odesa, the children, and every family that participated in the fairs and competitions, and of course, to Natalia Kartasheva for your assistance to our defenders», said Elena Buinevich, the director of the Department of Education and Science.

The funds were collected via «Monobank» and transferred to the account of the «Southern Shore» Charity Fund after the event.

«We have already received our first vital orders - tourniquets and bandages. These items are directly related to saving lives», noted Natalia Kartasheva, a representative of the fund.

A tourniquet is an essential tool for stopping critical bleeding in field conditions. It applies pressure to the damaged vessel, effectively halting both venous and arterial bleeding, especially after wound packing, and preventing excessive blood loss.
