International Talent Camp in Bavaria: New Horizons for Ukrainian Youth

27 August 2025

From August 17 to 23, 2025, a group of 20 students aged 8 to 16 from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26, along with five accompanying adults, visited Bavaria, Germany.

The primary goal of the trip was to participate in the international talent camp Talent-Akademie - 2025, where children could showcase their creative abilities.

Over ten days, participants lived in an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration, working in mixed groups with peers from different countries, overcoming language barriers, making new friends, and learning teamwork skills.

Creative activities such as theater, music, dance, painting, quests, and games provided a space for self-expression, mutual respect, and the generation of new ideas.

Special attention was given to cultural evenings where participants shared the traditions of their countries. The Ukrainian night was marked by the anthem and flag that united everyone in love for their homeland; the Polish night impressed with its hospitality and delicious bread with honey, while the German night introduced new forms of teamwork through interactive games.

A unique experience was the ascent to the Alps, where a quest themed around the “Talent Academy” took place. Children searched for clues and answered questions in three languages: Ukrainian, Polish, and German, showcasing a vivid example of intercultural dialogue.

A visit to Lviv, Prague, and Ulm allowed participants to explore architectural landmarks and contemporary life in European cities, emphasizing Ukraine's belonging to the European context. The excursion to the BMW showroom, where children learned about cutting-edge technologies, left lasting impressions.

The project demonstrated that modern Ukrainian youth are ready for international collaboration. Students from Odesa Gymnasium No. 26 not only showcased their talents but also became true ambassadors of Ukraine.

The experience gained in Bavaria will serve as a foundation for further initiatives aimed at developing talents and integrating Ukrainian youth into the European educational space.

This event was supported by the NGO InKontakt in partnership with the Polish school Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Bolesława Krzywoustego w Wolinie.
