Student Creativity Contest: New Horizons

On January 30, 2025, the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian Student Creativity Contest «Let Us Unite, My Brothers!» took place in Odessa, involving 5th-11th grade students from general secondary education institutions in the categories of «Literature» and «History of Ukraine and State Building».

This year, the epigraph for the creative works was taken from Taras Shevchenko's words: «Our thought, our song will not die, will not perish… There is our glory, the Glory of Ukraine!», with the theme being «Creating for the Future».

63 students from grades 6-11 of municipal educational institutions in Odessa participated in the contest.

The jury noted that all works were filled with patriotism and pride for Ukraine's heroic past and present. The authors revealed the processes of development and renewal of various aspects of national culture and their role in the fight for Ukrainian independence.

Particular attention was given to the contributions of regional outstanding artists and scholars to the cultural life of Ukraine.

In the category of «History of Ukraine and State Building», the jury highlighted the logical presentation of material, the research character, and the participants' ability to work with historical sources. In the «Literature» category, students provided a variety of creative works (essays, stories, poems).

Based on the jury's decision of the city stage of the XXIV All-Ukrainian Student Creativity Contest, winners were determined and awarded diplomas from the Odessa City Council's Department of Education and Science. Teachers who prepared the winners were also thanked.
