Solar Energy Solutions for Educational Institutions in Odesa

Educational institutions in Odesa are shifting towards alternative energy sources. The full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, which began in early 2022, has severely damaged the energy infrastructure, leaving many state and municipal institutions with unstable power supply.

During blackouts, solar power stations have become a crucial solution for ensuring consistent electricity supply.

With the support of the Lithuanian company UAB Okata, a project to install solar power stations is being implemented in Odesa’s lyceums No. 86, 81, 9, 62, 92, and in preschool institution “Yasla-Sadok” No. 195.

This project ensures complete energy independence for educational institutions, allowing them to continue educational and developmental processes even during electricity outages.

Moreover, harnessing solar energy will significantly save budget funds on energy costs.

In light of ongoing attacks on the energy system, the installation of solar power stations is a vital step toward utilizing clean energy sources.

In the Odesa region, UAB Okata is actively developing a project for the installation of solar power stations, which forms the basis for energy independence and a safer future. The project commenced in August 2023 following the signing of an agreement with the Agency for Environmental Project Management under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Odesa and Odesa region is coordinating the project.
