Empowering Women in Cybersecurity: Online Learning Initiative

10 July 2025

In Ukraine, an innovative online program called "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity" is being launched, implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with the support of the German cybersecurity firm Monarch and the German Federal Foreign Office.

This educational initiative will enable women to acquire foundational cybersecurity knowledge and learn to apply advanced skills in cyber defense within their professional careers.

"The Women in Cyber program serves as a crucial launchpad for women looking to shift their career paths, enhance their digital skills, or better understand digital risks. During the training, participants will gain knowledge and practical skills under the mentorship of leading experts from the UK, preparing them for a confident start in one of the most significant fields today. We aim to systematically develop the cybersecurity sector in Ukraine, bridge the gender gap in technology, and create real opportunities for education and career growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

This program is tailored for women looking to transition into the cybersecurity field or gain new knowledge applicable in their current professions. The educational content will be accessible to anyone interested, with no prior experience in cybersecurity required.

Throughout the training, students will familiarize themselves with key concepts and principles of cybersecurity, learn about the specifics of working in this field from experienced professionals, and receive practical advice.

The program will consist of seven lectures covering foundational and practical topics: basics of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during wartime; working with OSINT; the role of women and pathways to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cybersecurity sector. Additionally, the organizers will focus on career-related issues and opportunities in cybersecurity.
