Chess Festival in Iasi: Success of the Students

From June 30 to July 6, the team from Odessa Lyceum No. 9 participated in an international chess festival for students in Iasi, Romania.
There were 84 teams competing from various parts of the world.
The Odessa team performed well, securing 10th place among 37 participants in the under-12 category. Kateryna Stanchak took home the second place among girls, winning 7 out of 8 matches.
The team gained valuable experience and wonderful impressions from the trip.
Coach Olena Barsova prepared the young chess players for the competition.
