Odessa to Launch the Digital Initiative "Dream" in 2023

According to Alexander Lonchak, the implementation of the "Dream" project is not just a transition to new technologies, but the beginning of significant changes in education — it will be transparent, modern, and convenient for all participants in the educational process.

Recently, the final online presentation of the "Dream" app and portal for school leaders in the Odessa region took place.

Starting this September, all educational institutions in the region will operate in the new digital system "Dream", allowing all participants in the educational process to connect in one electronic environment.

What is "Dream"?

"Dream" is a free digital platform that integrates all key aspects of school life: schedules, grades, homework, chats, performance analytics, a library of educational materials, and tools for teachers and parents. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science with support from the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program.

The platform includes:

  • electronic journals;
  • schedules;
  • feedback systems;
  • libraries for students and teachers;
  • additional tools for organizing learning.

What are the benefits of "Dream"?

For Students: The platform offers personalized learning, a motivation system via the internal "Dream Coins" currency, which can be exchanged for real bonuses, as well as access to extracurricular activities. Students will receive electronic textbooks, personalized recommendations, and assignments, and can view educational videos.

For Teachers: "Dream" simplifies routine tasks, allows for schedule creation, homework checking (including automatic checks), maintaining electronic journals, and communicating with students and parents via secure chats. It also provides large databases of tests, lessons, presentations, and educational materials.

For Parents: The platform ensures transparent access to their child's academic achievements, simplifies communication with teachers, and assists in selecting extracurricular clubs.

Preparation for the ZNO and DPA: The platform will contain modules for state certification preparation, including tests and error analysis.

Currently, preparations for its implementation are ongoing — including training for teachers and technical connection of schools.

"Dream" is developed at the national level and aims to cover all educational institutions in Ukraine by 2025, creating a unified, convenient, and accessible educational environment.
