France's Diplomatic Achievement: Paris Meeting
The French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot highlighted that the meeting held in Paris on April 17 was a significant diplomatic achievement for France, bringing together representatives from the USA, Europe, and Ukraine.
Barrot emphasized the importance of this event during an interview on LCI, stating that for the first time, Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans were united at the same table.
After the meeting, which included delegates from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the USA, the minister declared it a major advancement for his country.
"This is truly an important diplomatic moment for France as we gathered together to achieve a common goal — peace," he noted.
Barrot also stressed the need to continue dialogue, as "Americans are actively seeking to end this war" and are "listening" to proposals for a ceasefire.
It was reported that on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron hosted a US delegation at the Élysée Palace. A significant meeting also took place in Paris between the Ukrainian representatives and delegations from France, Germany, and the UK.
