International Delegation Visits Odesa

An international delegation comprising representatives from the UN Secretariat, including UNDP, UNOPS, and UNFPA, has arrived in Odesa.

This visit has been organized to enhance cooperation among these agencies in Ukraine.

During their working visit, the delegation toured facilities receiving support from the UN.

The city mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly in the reconstruction of one of the wards at Hospital No. 8.

Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that while the facility is not an emergency hospital, it has already saved numerous lives, including victims of hostile attacks who required urgent medical assistance, thanks to the highly qualified staff and new equipment.

Meeting participants also discussed further cooperation efforts, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
