Mayors' Online Meeting: New Paths for Collaboration

The mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, recently held an online meeting with the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban. They exchanged greetings on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of friendship between their cities and discussed current issues and opportunities for furthering relations.

The previous meeting took place during the Mayors' Summit of European Cities in Strasbourg, where key topics regarding local governance and infrastructure initiatives were covered.

Ion Ceban noted that Moldova is currently implementing several projects with neighboring Romania and sees great potential for trilateral cooperation.

Gennady Trukhanov and Ion Ceban agreed to establish a trilateral working group to develop joint initiatives in the areas of infrastructure, economy, and social support, aimed at fostering sustainable development and strengthening ties between Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.

This initiative will help attract additional resources, facilitate experience exchange, and provide support to Ukrainians during these challenging times.
