Visit of German Politicians to Odesa

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with German politician Ralph Fuchs, head of the Center for Liberal Modernity, and Mariluise Beck, director for Eastern and Central Europe.

During the meeting, they addressed critical issues, including the security and humanitarian situation in Odesa, the needs of internally displaced persons, and collaboration with international partners.

Topics such as energy issues and preparations for the winter season were also discussed.

Together with the Center for Liberal Modernity and the German GIZ agency, a project for the improvement of the "Against Oblivion" park is underway in the city. However, due to the war, its implementation was halted, and the funds provided by German partners were redirected to civil needs such as generators, diesel fuel, and more.

The agency also provided Odesa with humanitarian aid, including ambulances and vehicles for rescue services.

The city expresses its gratitude to the German partners for their support.
