Strengthening Ties: Odesa and Trondheim Cooperation

The Mayor of Odesa held an online meeting with the chairman of the city council of Trondheim, Mr. Christian Dahlberg Haugen.

The Mayor expressed gratitude to Ukrainian diplomatic bodies for their support of the Norwegian Ambassador's initiative aimed at fostering cooperation between the port cities of both nations.

Mr. Dahlberg Haugen praised the Ukrainian people for their courageous stand against Russian aggression over the past three years and emphasized Norway's unwavering support.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the potential for developing international relations between Odesa and Trondheim, as well as collaboration in economic, energy, transportation, cultural, educational, and IT sectors.

Trondheim is the third largest municipality in Norway and serves as its innovative and technological capital. It is home to the country's largest university focusing on science and technology. Trondheim is a key hub for both land and sea transport and a significant industrial center.
