Ukraine's European Path: New Challenges and Opportunities

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, confirmed that Ukraine has met all requirements and deserves to advance in negotiations with the EU, currently blocked by Hungary.

Von der Leyen made this statement at a press conference following the EU leaders' meeting in Brussels, as reported by "European Truth".

She emphasized that despite the challenges, Ukraine is actively implementing necessary reforms.

"This is impressive. That is why the European Commission advocates for the opening of the first cluster of negotiations. Ukraine has fulfilled its commitments – now it is our turn to act. The accession process is based on merit, and Ukraine deserves to move forward," she stated.

It is worth noting that at the summit in Brussels on June 26, 26 EU leaders supported the opening of the first cluster in negotiations with Ukraine, but Hungary blocked this decision.

The Ukrainian government is hopeful for the opening of the first negotiation cluster.
