Recognition for Valor in Odessa

In Odessa, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov presented the honorary award «Gratitude» to Oleg Mosenzov, a specialist at the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center». Oleg recently returned from an important business trip, where he was involved in building fortifications.

The award was given in celebration of Ukraine's Constitution Day, recognizing his dedication, high professionalism, and exemplary performance of duties.

Oleg, 45, has worked in the municipal sector for the last three years, primarily maintaining protective structures. Although he is a trained builder, he has changed many professions throughout his life until he found, as he puts it, a great team and working conditions. His mother also worked in the municipal sector for many years.

Oleg has some health issues that make him unfit for military service, but when he was offered the chance to assist our defenders alongside other municipal workers, he immediately agreed.

«We tried our best to do everything properly. There are constant shellings that are hard to get used to. Moments of silence are so rare that they make you anxious. It was more difficult psychologically than physically. We were always on alert. With one hand, we held our body armor to be able to shield ourselves in case of an attack. I can't say I was scared. We went voluntarily and knew we had to fulfill this task; it was our duty,» added Oleg Mosenzov.
