Russian strike on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi claimed the lives of three school staff members

As a result of Russian aggression in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, three employees of the local lyceum were killed by the invaders.

This was reported by the press service of the Odessa Regional Department of Education.

"The tragedy occurred at Lyceum No. 1, where three staff members – dedicated and kind individuals who brought the light of knowledge and love for their work daily – lost their lives due to shelling," stated the administration.

Among the deceased was 51-year-old deputy director for educational work, Aurika Melnyk, who dedicated over 30 years to education. She is survived by her husband and children.

Aurika's colleagues noted that she was always distinguished by her resilience, optimism, and energy.

Also, the tragedy claimed the life of 77-year-old Oleg Herasymenko, deputy director for economic affairs, who had previously participated in the cleanup of the Chornobyl disaster and served in the institution for 27 years.

Moreover, the Russian strike took the life of 60-year-old Vira Roshchyna, a cafeteria worker. Her colleagues will remember her as an example of sincerity and joyfulness.
