Children's Safety Week: Civil Protection in Odesa
From April 21 to 25, 2025, educational institutions in Odesa hosted Civil Protection Week.
A significant event titled «Safe Approaches to Life» took place at Odesa Preschool Institution No. 306 for educators and administrative staff. Emergency services and police specialists participated in the event.
Older children's groups engaged in a practical session on «Road Safety and Vehicles», while younger groups enjoyed an interactive session called «Friendship with Dog Marshal».
Through games, children recognized the importance of following safety rules in everyday life.
During the Civil Protection Week, Odesa Lyceum No. 56 was visited by representatives of the Red Cross of Ukraine, who conducted educational sessions on mine safety for 7-9 grade students. Fourth graders had the chance to learn about rapid response units.
Seventh graders at the «Maryinsky» Lyceum participated in a survey titled «What I Know About Civil Protection?», sharing their knowledge of actions during emergencies.
At Specialized School No. 32, a civil protection representative conducted informational sessions on fire safety and evacuation practices during «Air Raid» alerts.
Civil Protection Week was organized to raise children's awareness of safety and foster a responsible attitude towards their own lives.
