Fire Hazard Alert in Ukraine: New Safety Measures
29 April 2025
In most regions of Ukraine, excluding Crimea, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Transcarpathian regions, from April 29 to May 1, a high fire hazard level has been declared.
This information has been reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
During this period, Ukraine will experience a high risk of forest and field fires. The most dangerous situation is expected in the central, southern, eastern, and parts of the northern regions.
A state of emergency (fifth level) means a complete ban on open flame in forests, fields, and near populated areas. Rescue workers urge citizens to follow fire safety rules, avoid burning dry grass, and not leave unextinguished fires in nature.
