Open House at the Shelter: A Chance to Find a Friend

29 April 2025

The charitable event featuring the 'Happy Paw' and 'Kovcheg-Odessa' foundations will take place on May 4th at the shelter. The organizers aim to promote the adoption of animals so that more stray dogs and cats can find their new homes.

Currently, the 'Kovcheg-Odessa' shelter is home to over 800 animals. Each new arrival has its own story, and supporting these animals is crucial. The staff note that an increase in the number of animals creates additional pressure on them and may threaten their health due to the risk of disease and food shortages.

"This day will be a fantastic opportunity for families to spend quality time together, especially for those who have long dreamed of getting a pet but don't know where to start. You can help homeless animals not only financially but also by donating your time, helping, and giving attention," the organizers state.

During the event, there will be a shelter tour, a briefing on shelter behavior rules, and stories about the animals' lives. Visitors will also have the chance to volunteer: cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, or playing with cats.

The event will start on May 4th at 12:00 at: 1st Sorting St., 22.
