Tragic Road Incident: Accident on M-14

Today, April 28, 2025, a tragic incident took place on the M-14 highway connecting Odesa and Mykolaiv, within the village of Vyzirka.

According to the head of the transport crime investigation department of the Odesa region's police, Dmytro Slyuta, it was preliminarily established that a female driver of a «Toyota» car, while attempting to overtake, caused a collision involving two other cars and a truck.

As a result of the accident, one car driver died. Two other drivers and one passenger were hospitalized with various injuries.

An investigative team, along with the patrol police, responded to the scene, including the investigative group from police station No. 3 of the Odesa district police.

The investigators have entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding violations of traffic safety rules that resulted in death or serious bodily harm.

A series of expert examinations will be conducted as part of the investigation. The full circumstances of the accident are being determined.

Police once again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to remain cautious and vigilant on the roads.
