Ongoing Greening Efforts in Odessa: New Trees Planted
28 April 2025
The municipal services responsible for greening Odessa are actively working to enhance the city's green areas. In April, 327 new saplings were planted.
All trees are mature, aged 8-10 years (white acacia, sycamore, common ash, Japanese sophora, eastern plane tree, catalpa, and heart-leaved linden), cultivated specifically for urban planting. To promote better rooting, the trees are planted with a closed root system.
Since the beginning of the year, various initiatives, clean-up events, and landscaping efforts have resulted in the planting of approximately 1500 young trees and over 7200 shrubs throughout the city.
The greening of Odessa continues, making the city greener day by day.
