23 April 2025

The Ukrainian company “Olys” has completed the construction of a new grain processing factory in Estonia for the local firm Torvaaugu Mahe Talu (Leibre).

This was announced by Dmitry Kisylevsky, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy.

The plant is based on the advanced „Optimatik-G-24“ technology, which allows for the processing of buckwheat into grain kernels.

Kisylevsky noted that the facility also includes aspiration systems, gravity transportation, pneumatic transport, and all necessary electronics and automation.

Olys' engineers customized the equipment to meet the architectural requirements of the Estonian client's production site and implemented multi-format packaging.

To finance the equipment for this grain processing plant, Olys utilized the state program for affordable loans “5-7-9%”, Kisylevsky added.

He also reminded that the Odessa-based company “Olys” manufactures over 200 types of machinery for processing grains into flour and cereals, cleaning, and quality control. The company designs and installs grain processing plants with capacities ranging from 15 to 300 tons per day, with the lowest-cost grain mill starting at 4 million UAH.

The export share in the company’s product sales is 25%, and the localization level of the equipment is about 75%. The company employs 211 staff members.

Kormotech has begun constructing a factory in Lithuania worth 62 million dollars.

Kormotech Group, the largest pet food manufacturer in Ukraine, is building its second plant in Kedainiai, Lithuania, to strengthen its position in the European market.

The new plant will triple Kormotech's production capacity and help the company rank among the top 30 global pet food manufacturers.

Kormotech is creating 200 new jobs, which will complement a team of 170 specialists from Ukraine and Lithuania, contributing to the development of related industries. Most employees will be residents of Kedainiai and surrounding areas.
