New Coin Commemorating Renowned Artist: Lyubov Panchenko

On April 15, coinciding with World Art Day, a special presentation of the new commemorative coin ‘The World of Couture Art. Lyubov Panchenko’ took place, honoring the remarkable figure in Ukrainian art.

This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The coin has a face value of 10 hryvnias and is made of 925 silver. The minting quality is ‘special uncirculated,’ with a total weight of pure metal being 31.1 g, and a diameter of 38.6 mm. The coin's edge is smooth with recessed inscriptions indicating the metal, its standard, and the logo of the Banknote-Minting Plant.

The obverse of the coin features a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements from her famous work ‘Bucha Spring.’

The artist's gaze, filled with creative energy, symbolizes strength and dedication to ideals, highlighting her deep connection to her homeland.

‘Bucha Spring’ is not just a painting; it is a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as the artist was born and lived in Bucha. This image has become a symbol of faith in revival.
