Fire Hazard Alert in Odesa Region: Safety Guidelines

For tomorrow, April 21, an elevated fire risk is forecasted for the Odesa region. Due to weather conditions, fire can spread rapidly in the event of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise maximum caution with fire.
This is reported by the Hydrometeorological Center of the Black Sea and Azov Sea.
"Weather conditions will mainly contribute to a higher likelihood of fire occurrences and spread in ecosystems if ignition sources are present," the meteorologists state.
Fire hazard in Odesa
According to meteorological reports, the danger will persist and spread across almost the entire territory of the Odesa region. A high-risk level has been declared in the following settlements:
- Lyubashivka;
- Zatyshshya;
- Serbka;
- Rozdilna;
- Sarata;
- Bolhrad;
- Vylkove;
- Izmail.
Fire safety guidelines
To prevent fires, certain behavioral rules should be followed:
- do not burn dry grass or leaves on private properties, as this can lead to uncontrolled burning;
- do not light open fires near dry vegetation and farm buildings;
- do not discard cigarette butts and matches onto dry foliage;
- avoid visiting forests altogether, as there is a risk of encountering explosive objects contaminating large areas of Ukraine.
If a fire is detected, immediately contact the emergency services at number 101.
Experts emphasize: in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a large-scale ecological disaster.
