Rise of Electric Vehicles in Ukraine in 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, 12,800 electric vehicles were registered in Ukraine.

This information was provided by the Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers Association.

According to the data, the highest number of registrations occurred in the following regions:

• Lviv region – 1,961 units (94% used);
• Kyiv city – 1,632 units (68% used);
• Kyiv region – 1,120 units (76% used);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – 986 units (80% used);
• Odesa region – 761 units (76% used).

Among new vehicles, the most popular electric car was the BYD Song Plus EV.

As for used cars imported from abroad, the most sought-after models were:

• TESLA Model Y – in Kyiv and the region;
• TESLA Model 3 – in Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk;
• NISSAN Leaf – in Odesa region.

Additionally, it's worth noting:

• In January to March, Ukrainians purchased 12,000 used passenger cars aged under 5 years imported from abroad.
