Ukrposhta Releases New Stamp to Support Ukrainian Railways

11 April 2025

In response to the recent cyberattacks targeting Ukrainian Railways, Ukrposhta has unveiled a unique stamp as part of the ‘Own Stamp’ project.

This announcement was made by representatives of Ukrposhta, as reported by a correspondent from the Ukrainian Information Service.

The new stamp, illustrated by artist Oleksandr Nikityuk, depicts the iconic glass in a glass holder — a timeless symbol of train travel. Warm like a summer evening in a carriage and strong like railway tracks, this stamp serves as a reminder that true traditions cannot be broken by any attack.

While every passenger on Ukrainian Railways can enjoy the signature tea glass during their journey, the number of stamps is limited.

Ukrainian Railways will randomly distribute 100 exclusive sheets featuring this legendary symbol among passengers who have sent words of support to the railway workers through feedback forms in the app since its restoration after the cyberattack until the return of tickets lost due to the attack.

Each stamp comes with a special bonus — 1440 iron hugs, which corresponds to the longest railway route — Zaporizhzhia to Uzhhorod.

Note that ‘hugs’ are bonuses that passengers earn for trips when purchasing tickets through the Ukrainian Railways app. Therefore, more kilometers equal more hugs that can be exchanged for various bonuses and discounts from Ukrainian Railways and its partners within the ‘Iron Friends’ loyalty program, which will soon be revived.
