Fatal Accident on Odesa-Reni Highway

This morning, April 8, around 9:00 AM, a tragic traffic accident took place on the Odesa-Reni highway near the village of Sarata in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. According to the regional police press service, a 47-year-old woman from the Plakhtiivka community, driving a Chevrolet sedan, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes truck with a semi-trailer that was heading towards Odesa. The female driver was hospitalized, but sadly, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. The 51-year-old driver of the truck from the Podilskyi district will be tested for intoxication. An investigative group and patrol police are currently working at the scene. A legal qualification will be provided after all circumstances are established.
