Reviving Odesa's Fountains
Experts from the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» have inaugurated another fountain that has quickly become a favorite among locals. This fountain is located in Theatre Square, near the Odesa Opera House, and is considered one of the city's most beautiful water features.
Currently, 15 out of 27 fountains managed by the enterprise are being prepared for spring activation.
Fountains are already bubbling in the City Garden and in both the Exchange and Theatre Squares.
The municipal team aims to have the remaining fountains operational by May 5th.
The fountains are open from 9 AM to 9 PM.
However, it's important to note that fountains consume a lot of energy, and under the conditions of martial law, some of them remain inactive. Since the war began, four UNESCO zone fountains, including the Memorial Fountain for the victims of German-Romanian fascists, the «Petya and Gavrik» fountain, the «Youth» fountain, and the well-fountain «Source», have been completely shut down.
