Illegal Arms Trade: Man Arrested
Law enforcement officials discovered and confiscated dangerous items, and charges have been brought against the suspect, who faces severe penalties.
Police documented how a 33-year-old man sold military-grade ammunition twice to an acquaintance. Initially, he sold 50 rounds for firearms and later three grenade bodies and their fuses.
With the help of explosives experts, the dangerous items were confiscated and sent for examination. Experts confirmed their classification as military ammunition.
Investigators arrested the suspect and charged him with the illegal acquisition and sale of ammunition. This crime is punishable by up to seven years in prison under part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court imposed preventive measures in the form of detention, with the option to post bail of 60,560 UAH, which he utilized.
Authorities are currently investigating the source of the ammunition found with the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
